Job Description
Job Title: ARTISAN GRADE II – LIGHT CURRENT
Company: Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO)
Positions: 8 Positions
Responsibilities
- . Installs, maintains, repairs and services light-current systems and equipment.
- ii. Assists in installation and maintenance of security, access control, fire alarm, public address, intercom and other low-voltage systems, as applicable.
- iii. Assists in testing and troubleshooting light-current systems and identifies faults.
- iv. Carries out replacement and repair of defective cables, devices, sensors, switches and other components.
- v. Performs routine inspection and testing of light-current installations.
- vi. Assists in installation, termination and testing of low-voltage cables and associated equipment.
- vii. Maintains tools, testing instruments and equipment used for light-current works.
- viii. Observes electrical safety, occupational health and safety requirements.
- ix. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Holder of Secondary Education Certificate and at least VETA Trade Test II/National Vocational Award Level II or Certificate of Competence Level II in Electronics or another relevant trade qualification from a recognized vocational training institution.
