Reporting to the Sustainable Livelihood Manager, the Coordinator oversees day-to-day field implementation, supervises Field Extension Officers, and coordinates farmer mobilization, training, demonstrations, and follow-up across project communities.
The role monitors progress and implementation quality, identifies and helps resolve field-level challenges, and brings forward practical insights and recommendations to strengthen delivery.
Working closely with field teams, communities, government extension personnel, and other local stakeholders, the Coordinator helps ensure approved livelihood approaches are implemented consistently, responsively, and in line with program targets, technical guidance, and available resources.
Responsibilities

Ensure field staff maintain accurate records and submit complete reports on time, escalating significant capacity, performance, technical, or operational concerns to the Sustainable Livelihood Manager.
- Implementation Monitoring + Reporting: Track implementation progress, verify field records, consolidate weekly and monthly reports, and provide timely updates to the Sustainable Livelihood Manager. Identify delays, emerging risks, operational constraints, and areas requiring corrective action. Support assessments, evaluations, learning activities, and partner or donor field visits.
- Stakeholder + Community Coordination: Coordinate field-level engagement with village governments, government agricultural extension personnel, Lead Farmers, service providers, participating communities, and other relevant stakeholders in support of program implementation. Maintain effective communication among program management, field teams, and communities and ensure concerns, feedback, and implementation issues are documented and escalated appropriately.
- Program Quality + Continuous Improvement: Ensure field activities follow approved program approaches and technical guidance, including Climate-Smart Agriculture, Conservation Agriculture, Agroforestry, and participatory farmer training. Use field observations, monitoring information, and stakeholder feedback to identify implementation issues and recommend practical improvements to the Sustainable Livelihood Manager, supporting agreed corrective actions and program adaptations.
