Job Description
The Benjamin Mkapa Institute of Health and Allied Sciences (commonly known as Benjamin Mkapa Hospital – BMH) is a premier public tertiary, referral, and training hospital located in the capital city of Dodoma, Tanzania. Established in October 2015, the hospital operates under the Ministry of Health and works in close collaboration with the University of Dodoma (UDOM).
Responsibilities
- To administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards;
- To position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription;
- To enter data into computer and set controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage;
- To follow the principles of radiation protection for patient, self, and others;
- To maintain proper records, reports and files as required, including such information as radiation dosages, equipment settings and patients' reactions;
- To perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications
- Holder of Diploma in Radiotherapy, Radiation Therapy Technology from a recognized Institution. Must be registered with the Medical Radiology and imaging Professionals.
