Job Description
The Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI) invites applications from qualified and motivated Tanzanian graduates to fill various internship positions for the 2026/2027 financial year. This internship programme is specifically designed to provide young graduates with practical workplace experience, professional mentorship, and opportunities to enhance their skills and competencies.
Responsibilities
- a) To carry out specified tasks related to electrical simulators, workshops, and laboratory practicals, students’ projects, research, consultancy, offices, classes and services under close supervision;
- b) To assist in the repair and maintenance of electrical simulators, workshops, and laboratory facilities;
- c) To assist senior staff in related areas of electrical operations;
- d) To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years of age at the time of application.
- All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Qualifications
- Holder of a Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electrical Engineering, or a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
